Source, Rutland Daily Herald--July 27, 1942. Page 5. EMMA PEPPLER HAWES. POULTNEY, July 25.--Mrs. Emma Peppler Hawes, widow of Fred E. Hawes, died at her home here Saturday morning. Born in Poultney May 19, 1868, she was the youngest daughter of the late George and Jeanette Peppler. She as a member of the Episcopal church and the ladies' organizations affiliated with it. She is survived by four nieces and four nephews. The funeral will be held Monday morning at 11 o'clock at her home on College street. The Rev. Francis B.
