Mrs. Frank Robinson was taken to the Putnam Memorial Hospital in Bennington last week. Mrs. Mary A. Copeland returned Monday from Danby where she spent several days visiting relatives. D. H. Cande (sic) of Dalton, Mass., representative of Milking Shorthorns Society, called at Verdale Farm recently for an official inspection. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Wade were in Bennington for two days last week attending a meeting of the Grand Chapter of the Eastern Star. Mr. Wade was installed as District Deputy Grand Patron for another year. Mr. and Mrs. Edward C. Eggleston and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Eggleston were in White River Junction on Sunday to see Stanley Fisher, who recently underwent an operation at the Veterans Hospital, and who is in a critical condition. Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest McDaniels last week were Lt. Com. and Mrs. William Foster. They have been in Newport, R. I., but were on their way to California where Lieut. Foster reports for his new assignment. At the June meeting of the Mad Tom PTA the following officers were elected : President, Mrs. Robert Brock ; vice president, Mrs. Frank V.
