Source, Rutland Daily Herald--Fri. May 24, 1940. Page 6. MRS. ANNA BISHOP. BRANDON, May 23--Mrs. Anna Eliza (Lily) Bishop, 70, wife of D. E. Bishop, died at her home east of the village Wednesday night at 10:30. She had resided here for 22 years. Mrs. Bishop was born in Orwell, March 6, 1870, the daughter of Calvin and Sara (Munger) Lily. Her survivors are her husband ; five sons, Rollin of Brandon, Harvey of Vergennes, Otis of Brandon, Dorous of Castleton, and Guy of East Middlebury ; two daughters, Mrs. Harry Crossman and Mrs. Edward Sanderson of Brandon ; one brother, James Lily of Orwell ; 17 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at her late home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, (DST) with Rev. L.F. Fairbanks, pastor of the Brandon Baptist church officiating. Bishop, who died Wednesday were held at her late home east of the village Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. L. F. Fairbanks, pastor of the Baptist church, officiated. Burial was in Mountain View cemetery in Orwell. The bearers were six grandsons, Warren Bishop, Ernest Bishop, Dale Bishop, John Bishop, Elmer Morse and Frank Terrier. Transcribed by, Joan H.
