The photograph is dated 1891 with Pearl appearing to be about 4 years old at the time. In addition to her name, someone has written "Aunt Nell's little girl" on the back of the photograph. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Pearl and her family: Pearl L. HOOD b. 28 Apr 1887 in Lawrence, MA to parents Joseph D. & Nellie HOOD 1900 census of Vershire, VT: Henry HOOD, age 38, born Mar 1862, married 3 years, born VT, parents born VT, a Farmer Helen M. HOOD, wife, age 30, born Dec 1869, married 3 years, 3 children/3 living, born ME, parents born ME Hester M. HOOD, dau, age 2, born May 1898, born VT Ray L. HOOD, son, age 1 month, born Apr 1900, brn VT Pearl L. HOOD, niece, age 13, born Apr 1887, born MA, parents born VT/ME, a servant I'm hoping to locate someone from Pearl's family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of her family.
