Source, Rutland (Vt.) Daily Herald--Wed. Jan. 4, 1956 William Robert Roberts, 84, of 72 Plain street,Rutland, VT., died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Wayne Hager of Wallingford, Vt., early yesterday morning. He was born Aug. 2, 1871, in Middle Granville, N.Y., son of Robert G. and Elizabeth (Williams) Roberts. He was a retired employee of the Howe Scale. Co. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs.Hager, Mrs. Alex MacFarlane of Pontiac, Mich., and Mrs. Edward McCormick of Roseville, Mich.; three sons, William of Springfield, Vt.,Robert of Dearborn, Mich., and Gordon of Drayton Plains ,Mich.; a brother, Griffith Roberts of Utica, N.Y., a sister, Mrs. Fredrick Lisske of Port Jefferson, N.Y.; four grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. Services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m.at the Congdon Funeral Home, Wallingford, Vt., with the Rev. O.R. Houghton, retired pastor of the Wallingford Congregational Church officiating. Entombment will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Wallingford with burial to follow in the spring in Elmwood Cemetery, Middle Granville, N.Y. Transcribed by, Joan H.
