Tanya is Deputy State Archivist for the Vermont State Archives and Records Administration. 11:00 *Jonathan Stevens*, "/Vermont Land Records Research/." Jonathan is a professional genealogist, GSV Vice-President, and current editor of the Vermont Families in 1791 Project. The talk will mention genealogical clues in various types of deeds [warranty, mortgage, quitclaim, adminstrators, life lease, indentures, etc]. It will also mention vendue sales and the State Prison Tax. Also how to locate particular pieces of property that your ancestors owned within a town, using lot and range systems and deed descriptions using rods and links, etc. 12:00 Lunch "on your own."
