Source--History of Rutland County, by Smith & Rann, 1886 page 929. ELIZIR W. ALDRICH. Aldrich, Elizir W.,Shrewsbury,p.o. Cuttingsville, was born in Shrewsbury, Vt., on March 11, 1810, and died there December 5, 1873. He was prominent farmer, speculator and citizen of Shrewsbury, Vt. He was justice of the peace, constable and lister for many years and served in the Legislature two terms. Politically he was a Republican. His parents were Jonah and Clara (Warner) Aldrich; his paternal grandfather was Ziba Aldrich, who settled in Shrewsbury, Vt., in 1780. Elizer W. was married on March 11, 1835, to Mehitable C.
