    3. Hi, Sandy, Don't you mean the Bennington Museum Library? I know they have the vital records on microfilm from 1760-1870, 1871-1908, 1909-1942[?]. They only have one microfilm reader and the printouts from it aren't that great, but it isn't that difficult to copy it by hand. Then you will also know the town where the event occurred and can contact the town for a more complete record. The records that are available on microfilm are copies of the index cards that were sent to the state by each town in the early 1900s. In the first section, many people never recorded events. They didn't know about all these seekers who would come after! Or maybe they didn't want us to know their business! These microfilms are also available through the LDS libraries. Vermont hopes to sometime in the next few years have some of their records [the index cards, I think] digitized. I believe Ancestry.com is going to be doing it. 3. Hi Joann. I appreciate your adding on to my notes with more up to date information about VT's vital stat files. The Bennington Museum is where the Bennington Historical Society resides. I loved the museum and for sure loved the historical society library there. The volunteers were wonderfully helpful too. I'm pleased to hear that these microfilms can now be ordered via Salt Lake Library. Sure beats the expense of going to VT for the info, but those who will go for a visit will have the beauty of VT in their minds forever. Again, thanks for chiming in -- this good information will hopefully help a researcher out there. Sandy Childs ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joann H.
