Hi Jane, There are eighteen soldiers who served in the 11th Regiment Infantry Vermont in the War of 1812 buried in the Old Military Cemetery in the Town of Cheektowaga, Erie County, New York. The causes of death were not from war wounds but from diarrhea, jaundice, intermittent fever, or epilepsy. The first burial was 4 August 1814 and the last, 16 July 1815.
