Thanks, Sylvia. The Peacham clan is from Jonathan's line. Mine are from Danville and Wheelock (so also Caledonia Co.) and then moved north to S. and N. Hero, before crossing into NY. Believe the only one in Williston was S.D. (Stephen David), my gg-grandfather, who was a methodist minister. Could you tell me who shows up in Brownington, Irasburg and Swanton? Orange Co? SD was son of David, who was b. in Wheelock. David had a sister Hannah, who I have been searching for - for years. They had a cousin named Hannah as well, but born 1812, while our Hannah was born 1806, so it has been confusing. thank you... Ricky On Thu, Mar 5, 2009 at 10:18 AM, Sylvia J. Hemenway says that the Elkins of Williston was Rev. Hervey. S.D. shows up in Swanton; Jonathan is in Irasburg (often early settlers had land but didn't actually settle in towns). He was also mentioned in Woodbury, VT, which is north of Montpelier. Daniel was in Brownington, Josiah was in Greensboro, Cabot, Peacham, Troy, and Potton in the province of Quebec. There was also a Samuel in Greensboro. The Quebec Wilkinses are associated with a raid from Troy that occurred during the 1837 Canadian rebellion. I think that they actually lived in North Troy, which borders on Canada. If any of these names are familiar, let me know and I can look up more details about them.
