Dr. PARKER's horse became frightened by O'BRIEN's elephant Friday last, in the square, and threw the doctor and two children from the carriage, but fortunately no serious damage was done. E. J. CHAMBERLIN of St. Albans was in town Saturday last. The children of Immanuel Sundayschool, and members of the parish, held a picnic at "Fairy Dell" iin Charlestown, Wednesday last. The Rev. Mr. RENFEW of Keene preached in Immanuel church Sunday evening last. Will STEWART was shot in the left leg Sunday afternoon last, by the accidental discharge of a pistol he was examining. "The Signs of the Times" was the subject of the Rev. A. B. DASCOMB's discourse Sunday evening last at the Congregational church.
