The Vermont Phoenix, Brattleboro, Friday, April 17, 1908 Interesting little note A London correspondent has discovered the greatest baseball "fan" and "rooter" in the world in the person of Nelson P. COOK, a native of Mt. Holly, Vermont, who after 13 years of endeavor has succeeded in establishing the American game in England. COOK has acted as organizing secretary in getting a league into working order. He gets no pay for his work and has paid out of his own pocket more than $3000 to forward the interests of the sport.
