He is a young man of good habits, and has the good wishes of all. The ladies' sewing society will give a neck-tie party on Friday, the 23d. Supper will be served. Mr. and Mrs. G. M. COLT started last Monday for West Newbury, Mass., to spend the winter with a sick sister. Thomas McDONOUGH has moved to Winterport, Me., to care for an aged mother. Last week J. E. TOWNSEND went to Barre, Mass., to a reunion of Company F, 53d regiment, meeting some 23 comrades. Forty-four members of the company are living.
