    3. The Vermont Phoenix, Brattleboro, Friday , January 16, 1891 Westminster news Miss Mary DASCOMB went to Hamden, Conn., last week to visit her cousin, Mrs. Dr. JOSLIN. Miss Carrie WATKINS came home from Bulington last Friday, where she has been fo the past nine month, at Lake View Retreat. She is at home for a short vacation only. Carlton HOLMAN of Fitzwilliam, N. H., pleasantly surprised his granfather, Hon. J. C. RICHARDSON, one day last week, by making him a visit. Miss Jennie ORMSBY has been spending a few days with friends in this town. Mrs.Clement MINER died at her home here last Sunday morning after a short illness, although for the past few years her health has been very poor, yet at the last the summons came suddenly. She leaves a husband and two sons, also an adopted daughter, who sincerely mourn her loss. De. HOISINGTON is at his home in Woodstock. It is hoped there will be a good attendance at the Parish meeting on Saturday, the 17th, at the town hall. This meeting is held in compliance with an act of the last legislature and it is generally known that this act has especial reference to the "Butterfield Library Fund," which the Parish hope sometime to receive. The meeting is called at 2 o'clock P. M. The New York Sunday Tribune of Sunday last printed a description of Berkeley Temple, Boston, with an interesting account of the work which Rev. Chas. A. DICKINSON is successfully attempting to do there. A portrait of Mr. DICkINSON is given, but we think the verdict of his Westminster friends will be that it fails to convey a correct idea of the personality of the man.
