WOOLSON, a leading and respected citizen, and president of the First National bank, died Sunday in his 80th year after a long illness. His funeral, held on Wednesday, was largely attended. At the national bank meeting held on Wednesday, C. E. RICHARDSON was chosen president in place of Mr. WOOLSON, and R. M. COLBURN was elected to the vacant place in the board of directors. There was a large audience to hear Capt. CHILDS's address on the postal service, given at Grand Army hall on Wednesday evening, and he received a cordial reception from our people. The Clee club furnished music. The permanent organization of the free reading room was effected on Monday night. The rooms have been very neatly fitted up, and here may be found the Boston and New York daily papers and the leading magazines and weeklies of the country.
