Source, Rutland Daily Herald--Sat. Jan. 7, 1939. MRS. E. W. MERRIMAN. POULTNEY, Jan 6.--Mrs. Ellett W, Merriman died early this morning at the home of her son, W. Leigh Merriman on East Main street. She was born September 7, 1869,at Argyle, N.Y., and before her marriage was Jennie H. McMillin. Her health had not been good since September and for the past month she had been critically ill. The survivors are her husband, Ellett W. Merriman ; two sons, W. Leigh Merriman of Poultney and Raymond Merriman of Springfield ; six grandchildren, and one niece, Miss Ida Smith of Albany, N.Y. Funeral services will be held at the home of her son, W. Leigh Merriman, Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.
