Source, Rutland Daily Herald--July 27, 1886. FAT AND LEAN MEN . The fat and lean men of Fair Haven will try their hand at base ball at Fairmount park ,Wednesday afternoon. Rev. P. J. O'Carroll will act as umpire and the losing club will pay for a banquet which is to be served at the Park View House in the evening. Oliver A. Proctor is captain of the fat men, who are: Alex St. Louis, Charles Crippen, Daniel P. Carmody, Edward E. Farmer, Martin Maley, William Merriam, William A. Smith, Dr. Arthur S.Murray and Patrick Maley. William E. Lloyd is captain of the lean men, who are: Charles R. Allen, Charles C. Knights, Frank W.
