Harold and his brother Bernie spent several years in THE HOME FOR THE FRIENDLESS, Plattsburgh, NY, beginning abt 1900. Family lore has it that Harold committed suicide in VT or upstate NY. He served in the Army, was a sargeant stationed in 1920 in Arizona. After 1920 I have hit a wall. My Grt-Uncle ,Bertie Lee(don't know if Bertie was his given name or nickname) Sanders born in Lowell,Vt.went by the Surname"Cross".The story I had as a kid was that Uncle Bert was in a fight+thought he killed a man,and ran away to sea.He lived+died in Charlestown,N.H.I do not know of a Vivian Sanders.
