    2. Source, Rutland Daily Herald--June 20, 1888. MT. HOLLY, VT. The funeral of Beaman Bixby, who died so suddenly on Friday, was largely attended on Monday, Rev. David Bosworth of Bristol officiating. Mr. Bixby was one of the oldest most esteemed residents. He had always lived here, being intimately connected with all the town's interests. He was a kind husband,father, brother, and friend , and an honest and unright citizen, Among the large number of mourners three generation were represented. Mrs. Jacob Earl, sister of Mrs. George Sherman, who lived here until within a few years, died recently at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Shedd, at Landen, W.T. (sic) Mrs. Forest Perry is visiting at Milan Dickerman's. N. W. Cook is enlarging his barn. Wesley Mitchell is doing the work. Kate Hammond is home from Proctorsville. J. S. Taylor has returned from his vacation. J. D. Ives is in failing health. Miss Lizzie Colburn of Weston is visiting relatives and friends in town. Georgia Foster has the measles.
