    3. The Vermont Tribune, Ludlow, Friday, December 11, 1885 North Shrewsbury 12/11/1885 Fred LEFEVER has been home for a week's stay. Sam PAGE is at work in the yard for N. J. A. & Co. Eugene KNIGHT has bought the Alonso RUSSELL place, for $1,200. Oliver BARRETT is going to work for D. W. COOK, driving oxen in the woods. Dea. Willard GUILD attended the A. C. Quarterly Conference at Cavendish. Lyman COLBURN has hired the widow WRIGHT's house, and will move immediately. The Northam wedding band was out to welcome Mr. and Mrs. Geo. WHITNEY, on their return from their wedding trip. A good time for all. Young people's parties are all the rage, now. They had one at Ed ALDRICH's, last Thursday evening, with about twenty-five present. There will be another at Oliver BARRETT's, Friday evening. Willie ALDRICH went to Johnsburg, N. Y., on a collecting tour for L. E. LORD; but as H. E. HEWITT was not prepared to settle or pay the debt, he came back a little poorer in pocket, but richer in experience and understanding with New York state laws.
