    3. I believe the 'Village Yard Cemetery' would be the Pleasant View Cemetery. Located on Route 30 on the southern end of the village. It is located at the site of the Baptist Church that burned down and was a part of the churchyard. There is no other cemetery in the village. One of the projects that the Jamaica Historical Foundation has going on, is to document, photograph and put on our new website, every cemetery and gravestone. We have gone to every cemetery in town except for the Pleasant View Cemetery (which is the largest) and a couple of small private ones. Our new website should be up on the web soon, although the cemetery info is not quite ready to put on there yet. 3. Hi Jamaica For the person who asked the Village Yard Cemetery, nka, Pleasant view, was first used 1825 and still being used with approx. 780 graves and in excellent condition. I know that collecting data from cemeteries is a long journey. In Vermont very short window to get out there in the summer/fall. Then hard to believe sometimes it gets too hot to be hot there!
