Source, Rutland Daily Herald--Fri. Nov. 16, 1916. Page 7. NEWS OF THE CITY. DEATH OF ANTOINE FORTIER. Former Vergennes Man Succumbs to Kidney Trouble. Antoine Fortier, who came to Rutland six weeks ago from Vergennes, was found dead in bed at his home, No. 151 Pearl street, yesterday morning. He had been in poor health for some time but was about the streets Wednesday evening. He was 62 years old. Death was due to kidney trouble. Mr. Fortier is survived by a son, Frank Fortier of this city, two sisters, Mrs. George German of Rutland and Mrs. John Labell of Haverhill, Mass., two brothers, John Fortier of Lowell, Mass., and Louis Fortier of Rutland. He was a member of the Holy Name society.The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at 8 o'clock at the Church of the Sacred Heart of Mary and the burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery.
