If it was just an adoption between individuals, perhaps no papers were filed anywhere. I was able to find the name of the mother of a woman who contacted me. She was born in the Elizabeth Lund Home about 1928, and by using the non-identifying information she obtained through the Vermont Adoption Registry, and by a lot of good luck, I found the name of the mother and my person was able to find siblings and learn a lot about her mother's family. She later obtained the name and information about her father. I believe if you were willing to supply more information about your grandfather who was born in that time period, information could be found.
