The Vermont Tribune, Ludlow, Friday, January 4, 1889 Plymouth Union 1/4/1889 Mr. Joseph SAWYER, who has been very sick the past three months, is improving. Plymouth Union Library Society held their annual meeting, Tuesday evening, and elected officers as following: John PIERCE, president; Miss Ellen SAWYER, secretary; Miss Ruth GREEN, treasurer; Mrs. L. B. MOORE, librarian. The aged ladies of this place met with Mrs. L. J. GREEN, Jan. 1st, for a New Year's party. Among them there were five widowed ladies, the youngest being nearly 70 years old. The following is a list of names and ages: Mrs. Esther DAMON, aged 76; Mrs. Lemuel SUMNER, 81; Mrs. Joseph MOORE, 84; Mrs. Stedman KNIGHTS, 80; Mrs. Silas JOHNSON 69. All of whom reside in Union school district. All seemed to enjoy themselves, and sang "When Shall We Meet Again." They all registered in the hotel register in good legible hand-writing. Religious services at L. J. GREEN's hall, next Sunday. Mrs. F. C. MORGAN, who has been quite sick is gaining under the care of her mother, Mrs. Hannah McWAIN.
