I've already tried working with the Vermont Adoption Registry several times and have been told there is no way they can assist me. They also denied my grandfather access to his own records. This is due to Vermont having different rules and regulations related to when the adoptee was born, when the adoption took place, and I believe also when the birth mother died. (This is why they have the reputation that they do nationwide.) His adoption happened to take place during a time period with fully sealed documents -- in fact, he couldn't even get an original birth certificate. So I'm afraid that is not an option, and that is why I am trying to find information on-line. Thank you for your input, however; I do appreciate it.
