    3. The Vermont Tribune, Ludlow, Friday, December 21, 1888 Windsor 12/21/1888 The heavy rain of Monday and Monday night raised the streams very fast, also washed out the roads in many places. A novel bet between Judge WILDER and a young lady was recently paid by the former giving the lady a gold ring. Had Cleveland been elected she was to sew on all his buttons for a year. Hon. E. W. OAKS has been re-appointed superintendent of the prison for another two years. Hon. James TANNER will give the third lecture in the course, Friday evening.
