Daniel, I did a quick search and found Asahel Brown listed in the book: History of Berkshire County MA (prepared by Thomas Cushing and Mr. J.E.A. Smith), on page 211 under Town of Lenox (MA), Asahel Brown was listed as legal voter for 1803. Maybe this will help you search in the right area. Hopefully it is the same Asahel. (It is an unusual name and that might be your gem.) Good luck! Hello..... Many months ago, I had asked for help thru this group. I asked for info on Frank B. & Bridget ( Carmody ) Carrigan and their children. They lived in Pittsford. MANY of you sent me info and 'leads'. I wanted to let you know that the info and leads have paid off for me! On 9/5 the great grand daughter of Mr & Mrs Carrigan contacted me! This week has been a week of email after email after email.....it is wonderful! She has called relatives. I am learning so much more and so is she. The entire family is in awe of all....I am too. A few mysteries remain that we feel we will be able to work thru together. This lady shocked the heck out of us ( we are a group of 4 ) when we learned / verified that her grand father and Genevieve Carrigan were twins! None of us had an inkling as to that!! This lady has bins full of letters, photos and items that belonged to the family. Other relatives also have letters. The Carrigans were one heck of a family who wrote, wrote, wrote to each other very often. They were extremely close. Thank goodness that it seemed to be in the genes :) THAT THEY SAVE EVERYTHING! THANK YOU for being such caring, giving people! ALL MY BEST TO EACH OF YOU! Patty Mielke Easthampton, MA **************Psssst...Have you heard the news? Charlie <pontegwatrail@netzero.net> Hi Charlie, In the War of 1812-14 there was a Leonard WOODWARD and in the Civil War there was a Union Soldier, Isaac P. WOODWARD, of Danville, Caledonia Co., VT. I have both of their short military data if you are interested. They were not my ancestors. Happy searching, Jan Jordan<jnrose@webtv.net>
