    2. Source, Rutland Daily Herald--July 27, 1886. FAT AND LEAN MEN . The fat and lean men of Fair Haven will try their hand at base ball at Fairmount park ,Wednesday afternoon. Rev. P. J. O'Carroll will act as umpire and the losing club will pay for a banquet which is to be served at the Park View House in the evening. Oliver A. Proctor is captain of the fat men, who are: Alex St. Louis, Charles Crippen, Daniel P. Carmody, Edward E. Farmer, Martin Maley, William Merriam, William A.     2. Source, Rutland Daily Herald--July 27, 1886. LUDLOW, VT. Mr. Horace Hemenway of Council Bluff has sold his house on Pleasant street to Mr. Charles Goddard, and also livery stable on Main street. Considerable excitement was created Saturday evening on Main street by an unexpected display of horsemanship. While Mr. Ackley of Cuttingsville was turning his sulky around in front of the hotel the axle broke. letting one wheel to the ground. the driver managed to keep his balance and quiet his horse. Mr. Pentland and daughter Florence are guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Knight on Pleasant street. Henry Howe from Vergennes is in town. Mr. Emmet Buckmaster, with his family, is visiting at his father's, John Buckmaster. Mr. C. Wood from Cambridgeport, Mass., and Mrs. Dodge are at Mr. John Sack's.     3. I use Family Origins. It is very easy to use, allows for scanned images to be added - birth certificates, marriage certificates, newspaper articles etc. as well as photos. It will print a book very easily and I have done so several times. It was originally put out by Broderbund. It is easy to add and delete information and to import or export GEDCOM files.     3. Hi Janice: You might want to write to Chittenden Co. Clerk office for this info. I did a search via Ancestry for your Josiah in 1930 census w/no luck. I used REED/READ/REID variants. Also looked @1820 census & found 4 *READ*'s living in Jericho, Chittenden, Vt. i.e. : Ebenezer; Myron;Loutha & Catherine. The 1820 does not show details re wife, children etc. however.
