    1. [VERMONT] Is there a Sherburne Village? RE: 1916--Sherburne, Vt.News.
    2. Alice Gordon
    3. I recall hearing about a model town composed of old stores and houses from towns all across Vermont. My recollections was that it was call Sherburne Village (but that may be incorrect). Anyway, when my father was very old he visited this "village" and thought he was seeing something out of the "Twilight Zone." He grew up in Barre and went to Dr. Jarvis for eye glasses. Apparently the developers of this model village had recreated Dr. Jarvis' office right down the tiniest detail. Dad walked in the place and knew he had been there, only it should have been in Barre as far as he knew. He was spooked! This was the same Dr. Jarvis who wrote a book about Arthritis. 3. I really like reading these posts. Are there any such posts for Barre or Northfield? My father was born in Barre in 1899 and it would be interesting to read what was going on in the area when he was growing up. My grandmother Maud DUNHAM was from Northfield. Her father had a granite shed for a while - that granite work in interesting. I recall my father taking me up to one of the pits and telling me how it worked. That must have been in the early or mid 1950s. Again, thanks for all the posts!
