Hi all: I wanted to address a post from last week concerning Henry Vanover's second wife, Jane Austin, which stated that "Jane Austin's parents were Bartholomew Austin and Jane Reeves, dau. of George Reeves and Jane Burton." My records show that Bartholomew Austin was married to Anne Reeves, a daughter of Enoch Reeves and Chatta McMillan. Children of Bartholemew and Anne (Reeves) Austin were: 1) William Austin 2) Isaiah Austin 3) Jane Austin married Henry Vanover and lived on Cranberry Creek in Ashe County, NC. They had no children. Before her marriage she had two children, Henderson and James. 4) Jesse Austin 5) Andrew Austin 6) David Austin 7) Cindy Austin 8) John Austin 9) George Austin 10) Robert Austin 11) Prudence Austin 12) Jackson Austin 13) Edward Austin (source: Pioneer Recollections of Southwest Virginia by E.
