For anyone researching the Wise Co Hamilton line. I recently found a on-line copy of a will for Henry Mayze of Henry Co Va. This will established the parents of Susanna Mayse (wife to Thomas Hollingsworth). Various deed records for Henry Mayze trace his path from Brunswick, Mecklenburg,Pittsyslvannia,Henry counties. I had been collecting data on Mayze familmies in and around Amherst Co that were related to Hamilton family in that area since this is the possile origin of the Wise Co Hamiltons ( from Schuyler/James Hamilton of 1810). However, this new data shows that the Mayze/Hollingsworth line arrived in SWVa independent of the migration of the Hamilton group. John Hamilton
