We the undersigned bind ourselves our heirs &c. to pay the amount set opposite our respective names for the purpose of building schould house in the Town of Clintwood Dickenson Co, Va, said house to be built upon the plan and specifications which may be agreed upon by J.M. Thornberry, J.P. Chase, Wm. A. Ayers & Columbus Phipps, and said amount by us so subscribed to be paid at such time or times as said Thornberry, Chase, Ayer & Phipps may require.
