I am the Secretary of the Wise County Historical Society and we are currently preparing Volume II of the Heritage of Wise County and the City of Norton. One chapter in this volume is called Wise County Firsts. We would like to correspond with the descendants of Elijah Vanover and Haney Mullins. They were the first official marriage in Wise County...having married on July 31, 1856. He was the son of Daniel Vanover and she the daughter of James Mullins.
