Shame!!! Shame!!! First of all let me say that I am not nor ever will be ashamed of my roots or the area or part of this country that I am from. I am not from sw-va but just across the line from pound va, a little town called Wheelwright Ky. But my mother and Father are from sw-va wise county scott county lee county. they were not from rich families put hardworking families who had a proud back ground good moral values. they were people that believed that they were no better than any one else and no one was any better that they were. They were not the goodie to shoes that went around with their nose stuck up in the air that if it came a good rain they would drown.. my people were simple people coal miners loggers and farmers, I am not ashamed to tell people were that I am from. or that my family is from. because that part of the county is home to me, and always will be I am not above my raisins. I do not live there any more but now live in tn, a town called Cookeville, I have lived in Mich also but sw-va and south eastern Ky. is home sweet home to me. my family and I attend the Assembly of God Church in Cookeville and I tell my Pastor that I am from God's country. and I truly believe that that is god's county People be thankful that you are from an area of this great nation that our forefathers and families were and are the backbone of this country. -----Original Message----- From: Paul Griffith <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Date: Thursday, February 18, 1999 3:35 PM Subject: [VAWISE-L] Griffith/Williams family >Any information on James Sanders Griffith from Wise County, died in >cave-in at Rhoda mine in 1908. > > >==== VAWISE Mailing List ==== >Please post your family lines to the list perodically, so that newcomers know who is on the list. >[email protected] Phyllis Morefield >
