They must be two separate men, since the second Edward "Old Ned" Sizemore who was the ancestor discussed under Eastern Cherokee claims lived until approximately 1858 according to the Guion Miller testimony taken in 1908 (see below). In one place, Kennedy claims specifically to be a descendant of the one who was the "self-proclaimed Cherokee," but dates his birth to 1725.
