Hi Donna, In the 1880 Wise Co. census I find the following: Jones, Joseph S. 46 Jane? 37 Thuselay? 21 female George 20 Allen 14 Winton 12 Marthy E. 8 Elizabeth 5 Calldona 2 Munday 87 mother widow ret This is the only Jones male with and S. listed in his name. I don't find Joseph in the 1870 census or in the death records I have. Let me know if you think this could be your ancestor and I'll see if I can find anything else.
