You are correct that this district is in present day Alamance County, NC. I have made some copies from early Orange County, NC lower court records that indicate Elijah Beverly was the son of John Beverly of Orange County who died sometime before February of 1765. He had brothers named Isaac, John, and Jesse, and a sister named Hannah. They were all bound out to local families shortly after the death of John Beverly. Early Orange County land records indicate that John Beverly had at least 200 acres of land prior to his death, and there is an inventory of the household articles included in his estate. Unfortunately, I don't have any further information on Elijah Beverly and his wife and children. I hope this will be of assistance to you.
