Hi, My name is Barbara Harris and my grandfather was Claude Fulton who died around 1926 in Norton, I think. I believe his father was Elbert Martin "Judge" Fulton. My grandfather, Claude, was married to Flora Macdonald and they lived in Wise County with my great grandfather Fred Macdonald and his wife Jennie. I would like to know how I can get information that would allow me to find out what my grand and great grandparents did. Is there someone who has some history on this family?? How can I get hold of copies of old newspaper articles from the early 1900's up to around 1926? I know that my grandfather Claude's obituary was on the front page of the current newspaper for the area although I do not know what the name of the newspaper is or was. Are there books or articles that I can purchase that would give me some history on my family? When I first began my search, I found some articles from old newspapers on line that had interesting stories on my great grandfather Elbert. When I returned to look for them again, I could not find them but know that someone has articles or old newspapers that would help in my search for my Wise County Family.
