Ole Paul was kind enough to point me to an 1895 map of Wise County that shows Tasso. It isn't clear to me where it really is/was, but it appears to be in the Birchfield area, maybe up what is now Beantown road. Can anyone please confirm that, or better define its location. I am also interested in what the major activities would likely have been. Was it a coal mining area, or logging, etc.? Thanks.for any help you may provide.
