Hi Jeannie, Some of my Cox names-mostly in Grayson Co VA and then Wolfe Co KY altho I am not positive they are not related to some of the bunch in Harlan, Wise and Lee Co. Joshua Cox my earliest is found in PA; JOhn went to Ashe Co NC, James first found in Grayson Co VA; John again, anotehr James, Fielden. There was also a Braxton Cox that migrated to Wolfe Co KY during the mid to late 1850's. Supposedly not related to my bunch. Wish I could be of more help.
