    3. Ron, I'm not sure, but I believe this Jonathan Hayes is the grandfather of Jonathan who married Melvina Short and fought in the Civil War. He was born in 1777 and died in 1865. Is John Hayes the father of Jonathan (Civil War) and son of Jonathan (1777)? If so, can you tell me who John Hayes married? Did Jonathan Hayes marry a Bolling, he certainly settled amidst the Bollings at Flat Gap? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Greetings to all" <semperfi@willapabay.org> To: <VAWISE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, October 16, 2001 4:36 AM Subject: Re: [VAWISE] Jonathan Hayes > Hi Rhonda, > > I am not sure which Jonathan Hayes it might be as there were probably many > from various families, if you find out for certain let me know as I have the > following two Johnathan Hayes grandparent ancestors from that era living in > and around wise county.
