    3. Hi List, It is also a beautiful day here in the wonderful mountains of SW VA, especially the Wise County area. We're supposed to have temperature in the 70s today. It will be great. I'm looking for info. on "Big Haley" Collins. I am from the old Booker Mullins line on one side and the Eli Mullins line on the other. I have Mullins's all over the place. But I would like to learn more about if there is a connection with Big Haley Mullins Collins. Caroline's grandfather, William Walker MCCOY, was one of the first residents of the Sandy Ridge area. The Meades, though living mostly in Russell and Scott Counties, also moved to the Sandy Ridge area, where many of them continue to live. Though I am learning more and more about Wise County, I do not consider myself, by any stretch of the imagination, knowledgeable about it.<G> We do have some members, of the list, who are and I hope they will contribute some of that knowledge to the list. I do know there is a dedicated group of individuals who operate the Wise County Historical Society, who are hard at work, organizing records to preserve them and make them available to researchers. Enough from me, for the time being. Don't be shy, give posting a try!!! 3. Dear Martha, I guess you and I cousins 7 times over or more. I helped do The stallard Connection in 1981 aand Rhonda Robertson and I are in the process of updating it at the present time. Please add your line. Mary Ann Coker was the daughter of Solomon Coker and Mary I will check but I think she was a Forester. I have photos of Joseph and Mary ann Coker. Now Joseph H. Stallards mother was Mary Jane Forester. She married raleigh Duncan Stallard Jr. I come through their daughter Bestey that married Andrew jackson Dotson . When I get to VA this weekend I will look at my records, they are at my parteners, Rhonda Robertson , we are working on the Stallard update. But I have a Forester History back to Scotland and I can tell you for sure the relationship between Mary Jane Forrester, wife of Raliegh Duncan Stallard Jr. and Mary the mother of Mary ann Coker Stallard. I do know both mothers were closely related and both died and are buried at and near Joseph H. Stallards old home place. I have photos of the tombstones. Taalk to you later. If you come to Second Union let's get together.
