Looked in index... sorry no Pierce Sanford... no Elizabeth Sampson BUT found Elisabeth Sanford on page 146 in a list of many individuals on "2nd of November 1785 Westmoreland County Petition Against Established Religion" along with Presley Sanford, John Sanford, Thomas Sanford, Richard Sanford, Thos.Randall Sanford and many other surnames. Any of these ring a bell... brothers, uncles or something of Pierce possibly? The book includes the petition and the long list of names. Any other names you want to try?
