Hi all! I am researching Arrasmith/Arrowsmith in Westmoreland Co., VA. Wanting to see if there is a connection between Richard Arrowsmith whose will was probated on June 30, 1752 and a Thomas Arrowsmith born in VA, 1733. Richard mentions only one son in his will which is a Thomas Arrowsmith and also a daughter Mary Bitty (Beatty?). His wife, Elizabeth is also mentioned in this will. Looking for the connection. My Thomas ended up in Montgomery Co., KY, later Bath County, Kentucky. Sure hope there is a connection. I have also been told that my Thomas was involved in the French and Indian War and lived in close proximity to George Washington. Who knows if these are true or not, but would love to find out!
