In the Virginia Land Records, by Gary Parks, 1982, p 423: "In Indenture 10 June 1726 it is stated that James Macglohe (Maglohe) of Overwharton Parish, Stafford county, had a "now wife" Mary Macglohe and son Charles Macglohe. He leased land from William Mason." I am trying to see if there could be any connection of this family to the Anne McElhose who married Archibald Allen (b Westmoreland Co, VA in 1750-51) in 1788 in Nelson Co, KY. I find no other McEhlose-so I am trying to find the origin of this obviously corrupted name.
