I have a sale of land in Westmoreland Co, VA from Wm SMITH of Richmond Co to Jeremiah Strother. Wm Smith received the land via an inheritance from Zachery HAINES dec'd of Stafford Co, VA. The sale was dated Feb 2, 1703 and recorded in Wesatmoreland Co on Feb 23, 1703. I would like to know whether Zachery HAINES is Wm SMITH's father-in-law. Also, I would like to verify whether this is the same Wm SMITH (ca 1644-1707) who was married to Anne (?) and who was the father of Mary SMITH. Mary SMITH was married to Arthur KING. Therefore, I want to verify whether this Wm SMITH is the same Wm SMITH who was the father-in-law of Arthur KING. THANKS!! Donald KING
