William McCLANAHAN purchased Richmond Co. land from Anthony MORGAN, son of Anthony MORGAN, 5 Mar 1749/50. An Anthony MORGAN md. an Ann Dunkin in 1711 in Richmond Co. According to court records, Anthony MORGAN was a Mulatto. This was in 1736, so I am not sure if this record refers to Anthony Jr. or Sr. I think in this case, the Mulatto refers to Anthony being an Indian and not a Black. Ann Dunkin is probably our Dorothy DUNKIN's (Widow TOWERS/McCLANAHAN) daughter Ann.
