The Richard Muse caught my eye on the Sanford, Richard lookup. However, I was thinking his mother and father was Thomas and Sarah Muse. However, THomas MUSE will be fine. THank you, Linda

Is it out of print? I'd like to buy this book if it is available. If not, then if you would be kind enough to look these names up and see if anything names relatives, or proves dates, I'd be so awfully grateful. [smile] I'm looking for Thomas TOWERS (died abt 1685- married to Dorothy ??? at least 2 children: Ann and Sarah) Ann TOWERS died after her father above, was alive in 1694; not mentioned in mother's will in 1717. Nicholas MOONEY anyone named McCLANAHAN/Macclanchon/ Macglanachon/ McLanghan/ or other spelling--especially if it names a WIFE or child! and especially if connected to MOONEY, or TOWERS! thanks for your time and trouble, I really do appreciate it! Hi Jeannie, I am interested in the Muse line. I noticed that you had Richard Muse listed on one of the other lists. Also I am interested in any McGowans you may have. Thanks for the lookup. Linda
Do you have a Pierce Sanford listed with this family? He is said to be of this line, would like to find a link to them.

Does anyone have the 1774 will & 1782 Estate Settlement of Wm. EDWARDS? Does this list a dau. Franky who m. an Isaac WICKLIFFE. Some say Thomas Edwards is her father. Wickliffe Manuscript says her parents are Wm. Edwards & Alice of Westmoreland Co. (a Wm. who d. 1774). Looking for information to tell me if Isaac Wickliffe was m. to two different Edwards girls. Does anyone have the month and day in 1782 of the estate settlement? Thanks. Judy
Looking for the person who asked me about a potential KING - THOMAS relationship - early 1700s. My apologies for my inconvenience to others. Donald KING
I've been researching the FONES families of Westmoreland and Richmond Counties for several years and without much luck concerning the period that the family first came to the Northern Neck. I would be happy to receive any data that anyone my have concern this family from any time period though. Thanks, Bruce Fones E. Marge, I do not have any PERRYs in my line - that I know of, nor do I remember seeing the name in my research in Westmoreland and Loudoun Counties. But, I will keep an eye out for the name. Sorry! Donald
Hi Don, Am reading the messages this morning, and it seems to me that sometimes some of the "Private Messages" should be published with the Surnames Only - that way one can see if others are at the "same brick wall" and just hoping that someone will put a name out that might be of help. I' m searching an early PERRY Line in Westmoreland Co, VA that began with the Birth of my 8/9th GGrandfather PERRY, William Born in Westmoreland Co, VA ca. 1668. This Line goes on into KY in the late 1700's or early 1800's, then to IN, IA, and finally to CA where I now live. If you have any PERRY's please reply, if you don't have any yourself - but may know of someone who does - please feel free to pass my name along. Thanks for allowing me to visit with you, thanks in advance for any help you can give. Take Care. Margaret (Marge) PERRY-Fields >From an Old VA & KY Family MFIELDS155@AOL.COM

Maybe the clerk, at that time, made a mistake. But, the "signature" that I have is one of the most legible signatures that I have seen. But then, I have never seen her name as Mary Jane either. My wife says that she used to know a woman whose first name was Mark. I was just curious as to whether anybody else had seen Jane ASHTON with 'Mark' as her first name. Donald KING
OOH, And where do the Rusts come in??? Cyndi

I have 12 William SMITHS in my database. 2 of them are married to McCLANAHANs. My gr-grandfather was William Smith McCLANAHAN, his grandfather was William Smith McCLANAHAN, his grandfather was William Smith McCLANAHAN his mother was Martha Smith daughter of Peter Smith and M. Bailey of Westmoreland, VA 1600's. (FYI: the first two sons of every generation of male Mcclanahan descendants were named William Smith McC or Thomas Marshall McC. After the first son (usually named after father) the 2nd or 3rd son of every FEMALE McCLANAHAN descendant was William McC and Thomas McC it seems!!!) My Jane Ashton married Peter McClanahan and their son, Thomas McC (died abt 1806) who married a Elizabeth BARNES, had a son named Peter LAMKIN McCLANAHAN.
