I can't find my notes but he is buried in BUCHANAN Cemetery, Washington Co., Virginia ( High on a Windy Hill, is name of Book listing this cemetery.) You might check Elizabeth Allison's book, I think it is called Early South West Virginia families. He married a daughter of John Buchanan and Anne Ryburn. My ancestor was born 19 Oct 1787, in Washington County, VA. His older children were born in Washington County, but child born in 1832 was born in Smyth Co., VA. The cemetery seems to be near the county line.

I believe my HOPEs of early Washington Co. md. into a Ryburn family but I have no information on the Ryburns.
