Edmundson (slightly different spelling, but that happens all the time). He was an attorney in Roanoke County in 1850, and in 1843 he was named a guardian for my ggrandfather, William Coffman, age 13. At that time Henry was in his late 20s. He was also in charge of the 1840 census for the county. He married Maria Lewis in 1840. Since so many Edmondsons were in Washington County in 1850, and since that's where my 21-year-old ggrandfather moved in 1851, I thought there might be some connection between other than just a legal one. I haven't been able to identify William Coffman's parents, but he was married in Abingdon in 1852, though he, his wife, Emma Ann Hawkins, and her parents left within a few months for Tennesee.
